A Festive Christmas Engagement Session at the Boston Public Library & Back Bay
On what felt like the coldest day of the year, I had the joy of meeting up with Emily and Kevin for their festive December engagement session. The brisk weather didn’t dampen their spirits—even though we found ourselves wishing for a dusting of snow.
We began our session at the Boston Public Library, one of my absolute favorite places to photograph. Its timeless elegance is unmatched, and during the holidays, it becomes even more enchanting with little lit-up snowflakes adorning the exterior.
From the library, we strolled through Back Bay, pausing at several beautifully decorated stoops along the way. Each doorway was a picture-perfect holiday scene, complete with wreaths, twinkling lights, and festive garlands. Emily, wrapped in a chic white fur coat, braved the cold in her mini dress and heels.
Our next stop was the Boston Public Garden. The squirrels were busy stashing acorns, as we captured sweet moments in front of the iconic bridge and my favorite statue, where the late afternoon light made everything feel golden.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the Christmas lights along Commonwealth Avenue flickered on, creating a truly magical backdrop. The twinkling lights wrapped around the trees made for some of the coziest and most festive photos of the day.
For our grand finale, we headed to the Four Seasons Hotel. After a chilly afternoon, we warmed up at the bar, sharing drinks and conversation. This time together gave me a glimpse into Emily and Kevin’s love story, their excitement for their wedding day, and their shared dreams for the future.
As the session wrapped up, Emily and Kevin shared a sweet kiss in the elevator as we said our goodbyes. I can’t wait to celebrate with them this spring at the InterContinental Hotel and meet the friends and family they oh so adore!
