Autumn Wedding at Bancroft's Castle Ruins on Gibbet Hill
When Sarah and Chris began planning their wedding, they didn’t have to search far for the perfect venue. They chose Gibbet Hill, a place deeply meaningful to them—a favorite hiking and date spot where they often stroll with their dog, joined by the occasional local cow. Having met at the end of college through mutual best friends, their connection quickly grew into a lifelong bond built on friendship and love.
Their wedding day was a beautiful reflection of their story, blending elegance with heartfelt details. The morning started at a nearby hotel, and Chris made a memorable entrance in a family-driven luxury car. Their first look unfolded at the enchanting Bancroft Castle ruins, where cascading florals transformed the rugged stone into a dreamlike setting.
Every element of their day felt intentional and warm. Guests were welcomed with mugs of hot cider, the perfect touch for the crisp autumn afternoon. As the sun dipped low, casting a golden glow, Sarah and Chris exchanged vows in the magical ruins, creating an unforgettable ceremony.
The design featured a cozy fall palette of peach and terracotta, effortlessly combining rustic charm with timeless sophistication. The rugged stonework of the castle and historic barn beams of the reception were softened by lush florals and intimate, cozy accents, creating a space that felt both luxe and inviting.
Dinner was a true celebration, with a farm-to-table feast set against tablescapes adorned with seasonal fruits, vibrant blooms, and glowing candles.
