Mountain-View Wedding in Holyoke, MA
L + B’s wedding was unforgettable! We started the day at L’s family home in Southampton, where the couple embraced a non-traditional approach by getting ready together. B even helped L pick out her wedding dress, making the decision as a couple. After taking family portraits at L’s family home, we headed to the local Orthodox church.
B wanted to honor his heritage with a traditional ceremony, so a Serbian Orthodox priest officiated their wedding. The church was stunning, and L’s intricate, radiant golden veil cast beautiful shadows on the altar.
As we made our way up the mountain for the reception, we kept a close eye on the sky. The weather forecast was unpredictable, and we weren’t sure what to expect. Despite the looming clouds, we managed to take some portraits overlooking the mountains before moving inside for the reception.
Right as cocktail hour ended, a sudden storm burst through, soaking the venue with a torrential downpour. But sometimes, the most unpredictable weather creates the most stunning moments. As the storm passed, the sky cleared, and we were gifted an incredible sunset. The mountains were bathed in vibrant pinks, oranges, reds, and purples, creating a breathtaking scene that drew all the guests outside in awe.
With the sky still glowing, we headed back inside for a night of dancing to a live Serbian band. We had so much fun being a part of L+B’s wedding day and witnessing the joy and love from their lovely families.
