Summer Garden Wedding at the Woodstock Inn and Resort
Amy and Wesley's wedding at the Woodstock Inn and Resort was a beautiful celebration of love, connection, and creativity, held in the heart of summer. As engineers with a methodical yet creative approach, they tackled their wedding planning with the same precision they might use for a project at work: spreadsheets, checklists, and frequent chats with family and friends were all part of the process. The result was an intimate, joyful gathering that perfectly reflected their personalities and priorities.
Their love story began in a wonderfully serendipitous way. Back in 2018, at the University of Michigan, Wesley was attending a birthday party at Amy's house. Amy, fresh from a late study session, was drawn downstairs when she heard “Like A Prayer” playing—a song she couldn’t resist joining in on. And there was Wesley, on a mission to responsibly recycle some boxes. Wesley invited Amy to dance, and the two spent the evening talking and dancing until he excused himself, a moment that left Amy wondering if he was trying to slip away for good. Thankfully, they'd exchanged numbers, and Wesley didn’t keep her waiting too long before asking her out. Their first date on February 11th has since become a personal tradition, marked as their half-anniversary every year.
The wedding day itself felt like a timeless, intimate garden party. With Amy's family traveling from across the U.S. and Wesley's family coming from Puerto Rico, everyone gathered for a warm, heartfelt celebration. True to the natural beauty of Vermont, the dinner menu featured locally sourced ingredients, cooked right in front of the guests for an unforgettable farm-to-table dining experience.
Next, they’re off to explore the mountains and coastlines of New Zealand for their honeymoon, a fitting adventure for these two who can always be seen adventuring around the world!
