A Springtime Wedding at Newport Mansions
The Newport Mansions in Rhode Island are one of my favorite places to photograph. From stunning architecture to beautiful gardens, they are some of the most beautiful places in New England to get married. For A + J’s wedding we took portraits at two of the Newport Mansions, including one of my favorites- The Elms.
Inspired by the 18th-century Château d'Asnières in France, The Elms features classical design, ornate details, and expansive grounds. Its marble hallways, crystal chandeliers, and lush gardens create a perfect blend of historical charm and romantic ambiance. One of the best aspects of many Newport mansions is that they need minimal decoration; the art and ornateness of the venues speak for themselves.
Photographing weddings in Newport is always a delight. The sunlit gardens with statues and fountains provide a serene setting for outdoor portraits, while the opulent rooms with intricate woodwork and lavish furnishings offer a majestic indoor backdrop. Add gorgeous design, florals, and New England elements like lobster rolls and a raw bar, and you have a pretty perfect wedding day!
The Newport Mansions combine beauty, history, and elegance, making them my top choice for wedding photography. Enjoy a few of my favorites from this recent Newport Mansion wedding below!
